A symposium lecture on Xylella will be given by D. Boscia at the event organized by the XylVec Project in Slovenia

A mini symposium on Xylella fastidiosa, organized by the National Institute of Biology (NIB), will be held in Marezige, Slovenia on 4 October 2017..

The event is included in the activities of the Slovenian National project XylVec (“Development of methods and procedures for the rapid detection and management of bacterial diseases caused by Xylella fastidiosa and its vectors”), granted within the target research programmes of the Slovenian Research Agency, also supported by the Slovenian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food.

At thesymposium, Dr. Donato Boscia (CNR-IPSP), Coordinator of PONTE Project, will share his experience with the olive quick decline outbreak, explaining what can be done for to prevent the introduction of the disease, as well as how the disease can be diagnosed.
