A workshop on “Rapid Diagnostic Tools for Phytophthora” next to be held in Catania, Italy

A practical workshop on “Rapid Diagnostic Tools for Phytophthora” is going to be held at the University of Catania (Italy), Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment (Di3A), on 17-18 May 2018.

The event is organized by Prof. J. Ristaino, NC State University (USA) and Prof. S.O. Cacciola, University of Catania (Italy), as part of a “Fulbright Scholar Program”, award code number 7528, Fulbright “Fondazione con il Sud” Award for Teaching/Research.

The overall goal of this practical workshop is to train students, PhD students, post-docs and southern EU and Mediterranean area researchers, farmer advisors,  practitioners to use a platform of tools to detect, identify, and ultimately prevent spread of novel species of Phytophthora.

Attendees will be selected by the Workshop Organizing Committee to maximize the diversity of participants, and a maximum of 26 participants will be admitted. The deadline for application will be 15th March 2018.
