My research focuses on detection, identification and characterization of plant pathogenic bacteria of grapevine, fruits, nuts and vegetables. Emphasis is being placed on Agrobacterium spp. as causal agents of crown gall disease of grapevine, stone and berry fruits. I participated in several international training courses in phytobacteriology, including Phytosanitary Training Course for the Biosecurity Pathogen, Xylella fastidiosa”, at Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari (MAIB), Valenzano, Bari, Italy. I was also involved in the programs of Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Republic of Serbia in survey and monitoring presence of Xylella fastidiosa on grapevine in Serbia.
