Nevena Zlatković is a PhD student at University of Belgrade, Faculty of Agriculture. The main area of her doctoral research is related to the bacterial diseases of cucurbit plants. During her studies she had opportunity to participate in many national and international workshops and trainings on various topics in the area of plant pathology. The focus of her recent research has been on the detection and identification of plant pathogenic bacteria. Her contribution to the POnTE project is rich experience acquired through one-month long training in the following fields of expertise: integration of molecular tools and conventional methods of detection of Xylella fastidiosa (Xf), evaluation of host susceptibility and detecting and monitoring of Xf in the inoculated host by molecular methods and analysis.
