Online the portal of the H2020 project XF-ACTORS

It has been released a few days ago the website of XF-ACTORS, the first international research project in Europe entirely devoted to research on the bacterium Xylella fastidiosa. The project is based on a multidisciplinary approach, involving expertise in different research fields for developing a comprehensive and integrated work plan.

The portal will act as a reference point for all scientific documents and publications about Xylella fastidiosa, based on the concept of open access by promoting transparency in research and knowledge/technology transfer to maximise the impact of the research outcomes.

XF-ACTORS website will be constantly updated with all the news about the project, including research findings, events and other activities, with a particular focus on the scientific research areas of the Project.

Synergistic cooperation with the consortium POnTE has been established, in order to maximise the effort of research programs targeting this emerging plant pathogen. For this reason, POnTE newsletter will contain from now on a section dedicated to XF-ACTORS news and events. A coordinated external communication strategy will be also implemented between the two consortia.

Funded within the H2020 programme, XF-ACTORS is the acronym for “Xylella Fastidiosa Active Containment Through a multidisciplinary-Oriented Research Strategy”. The large international consortium involves 29 Partners and Research Institutions, including 4 non-European research centres located in USA, Brazil, Costa Rica and Taiwan.

The project has officially started on November 1st, 2016; the research work plan will be completed by the end of October 2020. More information at www.xfactorsproject.eu
